ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – MINUTES 29th DECEMBER 2008
MEETING OPENED 3.10 pm

Present: G. Hart, J. Docktor, Al. Arrighi, M. Charter, J. Leon, K. Lupton, L. Raudonikis, B. Horan, J. Groves, M. Mackay, R & L Mackay, T. Taylor, M. Claes, C. Long, M. Muir, S. Preston, R. Smith, J. Piercy, P. Davies, J. Skinner, G. Parry, A. Grant-Frost

J. Leon thanked everyone for coming, Financial Report & Presidents Report handed around.

Minutes of the last meeting read by J. Leon
ProposedC.Groves Seconded – M. Claes Passed – Unanimously
Confirmation of Minutes from the last General Meeting read by J. Leon – Proposed B Horan, Seconded G Hart, and Passed Unanimously.

President’s report read by J. Leon (copy attached). Added to report verbal thanks to many people who helped throughout the year. Proposed – M Charters, Seconded C Groves passed unanimously.

Treasurers Report tabled (copy attached).
1. Mark Charter thanked Chad Duensing and Nathan Wallace particularly for their collection of sponsorships. Was a huge improvement on last year.
2. Greg Hart and Ross Butler for their effort with the running of the Bar.
3. Fund raising efforts due to injuries to club members. True commitment from all at the club.
4. Discussion by C. Groves re water figure difference between 07 & 08 – explained as field water leak found and charged and discounted fee from council.
5. Clothing figures are more on the year after we win premierships, as we need new sets.
Proposed to be accepted – C. Long, seconded B. Horan, passed unanimously.

Junior report read by M Claes (copy attached). Cheque coming from Juniors for $1500.00. J. Leon thanked juniors for their efforts in the canteen and the contribution to senior club. Proposed K. Lupton seconded R. Mackay passed unanimously.

Report from Coaching Co-ordinator Col Groves that a sub committee was formed to interview and select coaches for the 2009 season. They are as follows:
U19’s – Paul Davies, Joel McMahon and manager Mark McMahon
3rd Grade – Mick Koellner, Mark Charters and manager Owen Banchart
2nd Grade – Mick McGregor, John Docktor, and manager Troy Taylor
1st Grade – Andrew Grant-Frost, Craig Davy and manager Al Barrett.

Also congratulations to Karl Lupton for his selection as Zone Coach and Chris Hickey for Waratahs Coach and that we are looking forward to a very positive start and rewarding finish to next season.

No Golden Oldies representatives to give report.

Alex Arrighi asked to act as Returning Officer. Alex thanks everyone for their reports and how much progress has already been made to make 2009 a very successful year. Then called for nominations for:

President – John Leon, Nom – Col Groves, Sec – R. Mackay declared President for the 2009 season unopposed.

Vice presidents – Al. Barrett, nom – John Leon, sec – Mark Charter
Chris Long, nom – Shane Preston, sec – Brent Horan
Both declared Vice Presidents unopposed.

Secretary – Nathan Wallace, nom-John Leon, sec – Col Groves, declared Secretary unopposed.

Treasurer – Mark Charter, nom – John Docktor, sec – Col Groves – unopposed

Committee – The following 10 members were nominated and elected unopposed:
