Nathan ‘Muzz” Groves – a ‘Seahorse Away’ playing for the Alice Springs Dingo Club

I asked Nathan why their footy season is from Nov to April with games played from 7pm and he replied back.

They don’t play in winter cause league is played in winter and since the closest town is over 500ks away we don’t travel every week. The bus trips would take too long on the way home so we play in Alice every week in a 4 team comp.

I have had a few trips away. Our club went to Singapore to play the International 7s comp. We made the semis of the Bowl Divison.

Went to Katherine for the Alice Springs side … 17hrs on a mini bus one way … real fun.  It’s the only rep team I have played in were the team got into an all in brawl in the car park with each other before the game!
