Commitee Meeting details - December

The proposed Monthly Meeting for December to be attended by club executives and committee members is now planned for 11th December, 7:00pm at the Kalinga St clubhouse. Please make sure you amend your calendar as required.

As a result of the recent AGM held in November for the Ballina Seahorses Rugby Union Club, there has been a changing of the guard in the executive positions.

The Ballina Rugby Club thanks outgoing executive members, Jamie Coote (President), Mark McMahon (Secretary) and Nathan Groves (Vice President) and we are eternally grateful for their efforts in guiding our great club over the last few years. You will always be welcome and we hope that your input can still be accessed in the future.

From the AGM, the following board members have accepted the executive positions on the committee. The club and committee are looking to leverage and build on the work done from the outgoing executive. The positions have been filled as follows:

President - Al Barrett

Vice President - James Cruz

Secretary - Al Noble

Treasurer - Vernon Ware.

Club stalwart Chad Duensing has accepted a committee role and we look forward to Chad’s input and energy. John Ryan who is already a committee member has also taken on a position on the Far North Coast Zone committee as a Ballina Rugby Club liaison to the zone.

This influx of new executives is seeking to focus on our club to ensure that we are creating a positive environment of growth as well as a place of connection and community. Our club needs to deliver more than just Rugby Club training and game day activities. If our club is to maintain a position of strength, we need to adapt and evolve our offering to our community. Planning is already underway for team activities and club organisation. As we develop our plans, we will be presenting the outcomes on our website and I can definitely say, there has never been a better time to be a part of the Seahorse Nation.
