The Ballina Rugby Union Club is seeking to recruit a group of volunteers who can assist with some of the jobs that need to be done throughout the Rugby Season. In particular relating to home games (6-7 games throughout the season) Not a big task.

Roles include:

  1. Ground set up and pulldown for home games. Put protection pads on goal posts, corner flags and ensure safe playing conditions before play.

  2. Clubhouse set up for home games which includes ground marking which is needed to be done around once per month – 6 times for season (requires some training)

The aim is to have people working in pairs so if one person is not available the job is still covered by their partner or both work together. This will enable home games to run smoothly without any 1-2 people having to shoulder the burden.

We are seeking volunteers from the broader community. It would be great if they had an interest in Rugby Union but even if you are new to town or if you are looking to be a part of a wider community club that supports our town and people, then you are more than welcome to put a hand up. We will always be able to find tasks that need addressing.
